Lupita is one of the Family Circle Chiweenies adopted this summer. Her new family sent us these photos so we could see how well taken care of she is – look at all of those cute clothes! Thank you so much for updating us on Lupita, we are so happy that you are giving her such a great life!

Do you remember the surprise litter of puppies that came from our senior rescue, Sage, this past summer? Well here is the little boy of the litter, Rocket Raccoon! He has turned into a beautiful dog, and is very happy in his new forever home! He now goes by the name of “Rocky”!
We love it when our adoptive homes share updates, it is a thrill for us to see how much the animals have grown and adjusted in their new families, and it gives us the motivation to keep going with animal rescue. Our #ThrowbackThursday today is Sable! Isn’t he beautiful now! And to think that he started out as a tiny bottle baby that Simone took great care of! Lucia, or “Lulu” is a fun Throwback Thursday! She was adopted in 2007 after being fostered by Teresa, one of our Officers and Board members. Eight years later, Lulu’s adoptive family have become a big part of TBAR. Olivia (now a TBAR Officer) and Jason take beautiful pictures of our TBAR animals to help us find them forever homes! You can see Lucia’s photos, the one with the background was her original listing photo (when she was called “Palla”), then the other puppy photo from her foster mom “Can you believe it? Her first picture with us and she blinked!” and then a more recent one: “Here is one of Lucia, our little angel. One of the few times she did a sitting for me. I was photographing Jack and she decided to play too. I wish she would sit for me more often, she is a beautiful creature.”

Loretta, one of our Officers and Board Members who has been with TBAR since the beginning, has submitted Sadie for our Throwback Thursday this week! She says: “We adopted Sadie at 8 weeks and this year she is 11. She is such a loyal and perfect companion. I ignore the grey coming in around her eyes and her snout. To me she is MY dog. She does not like to be separated from me at all. Thanks to T-Bar and Mel and Dale for trusting me to care for her by adopting her.”

#TBT We took in a group of horses that were being starved by their owners several years ago. They didn’t trust people so it was a challenge for anyone to adopt them. That didn’t stop his mare’s adopter, Jaden. He worked with her and was soon able to ride her! Now Jaden and Pearl have a wonderful partnership. We love happy endings like this one. It’s a true testament to what love and patience can do.
Our little Bottle Baby from Summer 2014 (who was adopted in time for the Holidays) has just graduated from obedience school! Great job, Eddie! Hasn’t Eddie grown up into such a beautiful and confident boy?!

Happy New Year from the Hodde Family and True Blue Animal Rescue!
The Hodde’s pets are all rescues. They shared their super cute Texas Christmas picture so we could see how well Buddy (aka, Butch), the tan dog on the left, is doing. Buddy was adopted from True Blue Animal Rescue several years ago, and as you can see, he’s happy and loved in his new family.

We got a call to go pick up a stray horse that nobody wanted and when we got there we found this skinny fellow. Even though he was thin we could see that he was special and had a majestic quality about him so we named him Hemingway. He finished his rehabilitation in his current forever home with Dr.Cassie Schuster. Now he’s back to his full glory and has the run of his new home. He eats healthy foods and treats and as you can see it’s keeping him at a good weight which is saying a lot for a 30 year old horse. Hemi is a great reminder that horses shouldn’t be skinny just because their older. Proper nutrition makes all the difference.
Poor Tobi was just a baby and had never known a full belly. Her coat was rough and thick and her body was frail and thin. As she gained weight her beauty shined through but in her heart she still had a hard time trusting. Thankfully there are people like Jason and Crystal Hunter who are willing to go the extra mile to help a horse like Tobi learn to trust again. They’ve been working with her on manners and saddling and it’s been a challenge but they’ve gotten further than most people could. We’d love to have an update on Tobi Jason and Crystal! How is she doing?
