Description: Ebony’s very name evokes a sleek, dark, and rare substance; so fitting for this incredible eight yr. old Thoroughbred mare. She went through a difficult period when her previous owner was unable to properly provide for her, but Ebony has regained excellent health and is saddle-broke and trained for riding. She would benefit from having an experienced rider to continue her training. In return she would make a great trail horse or show horse. Description: One of 57 badly neglected horses awarded to True Blue Animal Rescue and Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society by Hopkins County judge. This sweet mare is very skinny and needs to put on significant weight. Sugar was originally raced for four years and had 11 starts. She won 1 and came in 3rd on three other times. She was bred and raced by Dry Creek Farm and after she was retired was sold. UPDATE Sep 6: Sugar has put on a lot of weight and is looking good. She still has more weight to put on, but accepted a saddle. She will need someone to give her TLC and patience to refresh her riding skills. Picture #2
