#You Have Been Trolled !

Donation from Emery!

We had another visit from one of our favorite friends. This young lady collected food for the animals again and made the trip out to deliver it in person. Thank you Emery for another great supply of horse feed, dog food and dog treats! You are making a difference in the lives of animals!

RIP Captain

Original Post (Jan 14): Captain just came into TBAR last week and after a week at the vet and a teeth floating he went to his foster home. As you can see he’s in good spirits and eating his alfalfa cube mash but he went down this morning and hasn’t been able to get up. He wants to get up but doesn’t have the strength because he’s so malnourished. Please pray for Captain to get up. We’ve done it before so let’s do it again! The power of prayer and healing is powerful!

Update January 15: We got him up, got him loaded and on the way to the vet. Yes, it’s sad that he was starved and abandoned but thanks to a lot of amazing rescuers this horse is up and on the way to the vet. There are a lot of great people in the world!

Update January 17: Melanie and Lauren spent all day with Captain today! We started feeding him a One n Only mash and going into the evening he started gaining some strength. He was up standing and walking around. He even gave Melanie a One n Only bath. He is not out of the woods yet so prayers are still needed!

Keep praying, Captain has refeeding syndrome http://www.starvinghorses.com/Refeedingsyndrome.html
This syndrome can be fatal but we all know that the power of prayer and the action of rescuers can beat the odds. If you can visit Captain at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital at 6999 Hwy 6 in Navasota, please do. Help feed him some One and Only mash (we left a bag of it there for him) and help him get up on his chest to eat (or find someone to help) They are busy there and might not be able to give him all the individual attention he needs so it’s up to us to make sure he’s getting food regularly and being pushed up on his chest and lifted to stand. The more we go the better his chances are. I’m going after work too. Comment here with a picture if you go see him

Updated January 17: Just got here to sit with Captain. He is resting. Vet said he does this after he eats to rest and digest, and then perks up. Amy and I will sit with him for a few hours. He is not out of the woods yet, but his fighting heart is still beating!! PRAY!!!!!! -Teresa

Updated January 17: Captain lost his battle the morning of January 18, 2017. He died knowing how much we all loved and cared about him. Thank you all for going to see him and for praying for him. The only thing wrong with him was that he had been starved. I pray that together we can end needless suffering like this for all animals and humans too. — at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital.

Stray Horses Need Foster Homes

CALLING ALL HORSE FOSTER HOMES! We have more stray horses that need our help. Here are two of them that will be ready soon but there are more. We asked people not to let them starve to death and not to send them to slaughter so now they’re being turned out or turned over to us. This is our chance to make a difference and start the wave of change. Let’s change the cycle of sending horses to slaughter or leaving them to die. If you can foster or would like to adopt a horse, please email [email protected] or call 936-878-2349. We need you now more than ever!

All dog adopts Jan 11

All four of the puppies that where abandoned in the woods with their mother, Cookie, have forever homes! Cookie is still here waiting for her home but we’re all so thankful that these sweet babies that had no chance now have the best homes possible. Thank you for adopting instead of shopping. If you would like to adopt a dog or puppy, check out our adoptable pets and then email [email protected] or call 936-878-2349 so we can arrange for you to meet your new family member.

Mia was adopted!

Mia was found by Brenham Humane Services with a collar grown into her neck. They saved her and gave her time to heal. A True Blue Animal Rescue foster home heard about her and decided to give her a home to live in while she waited for her forever home. That day has finally come! Mia seemed to know these were her people because she walked right over and leaned on her new Dad’s leg. Here you can see that she’s content and comfortable with her family already. These are the happy endings we all love to see. Check out our adoptable pets, then either email [email protected] or call 936-878-2349 to arrange to adopt!

Nettie Needs a Home

Sweet Nettie is a True Blue Animal Rescue dog. She’s spayed, current on shots, house trained and ready for adoption. Her foster Mom has to move in with her Mother to take care of her so she can no longer keep Nettie. We don’t want Nettie to end up in a kennel situation now that she’s used to living in a home. Please consider opening your home to this sweet girl to give her a place to live while she is waiting for her forever home. If you’d like to adopt her, even better! Email [email protected] or call 936-878-2349 if you can help Nettie. Please Share!
