Remy’s Story:
Remy is a lovely tempered, 11 week old, mostly Lab pup who is already a real lady where manners and gentleness are concerned. She was found straying, hungry, weak and all the usual sad things that become of pups people dump. Lucky for Remy, the gal who saw her along 290, is a True Blue Rescue staff and a wonderful foster home. She stopped and picked up the pup, taking her back to share apartment digs with rescued foster kittens and cats, which is her foster/rescue focus. Remy’s foster mom also works at a vets, so got her evaluated, all puppy shots, tests and wormer. By now, this is a healthy, well trained pup. We had her at an adoption event downtown, this weekend, along with 2 litters of younger pups – all of whom were stressed and scared. Strange people, noises, a parade, etc., but to our amazement, Remy was calm and asking to get in the pen with the 15 upset babies. Though a baby herself, she right away started cuddling the smallest and most nervous pups. She was welcoming and open to the new people who came up and showed the great traits that are typical of many Labs. She will be a 40-50 lb. dog. She is calm, very responsive and showing signs of being a great choice for someone who needs a dog to bond with a special needs family member or other role calling for attentiveness and extra sensitivity on the part of the dog. But there is plenty of puppy too, loving to chase toys and play. She is housebroken, crate trained walks well on a leash, sits and listens really well. If you’d like to meet Remy call 936-878-2349 or email, [email protected] to make an appointment – and go to the website, www.t-bar.org to learn about the adoption or foster program guidelines and download an application. Fill it out and send it back (email or regular mail) and once you are on file as an approved adopter or foster home, you can meet any animal you want and take them home for a sleepover – try out.
