Two of our dogs were adopted to a wonderful family during our Petsmart adoption day on Sunday, March 13! We are thrilled knowing that they are both in a loving family that will be spoiling them the way they deserve to be spoiled.
If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family check out our web site www.t-bar.org and see if one of them is right for your family. Then call 936-878-2349 or email [email protected] and we’ll arrange for you to meet and adopt!

Buccaneer Blackout: Dec 2016
We were invited to bring TBAR rescue dogs to an event at Blinn College in Brenham on December 10th, 2015. The purpose was to give the students something fun to do that would releive stress. Knowing that animals are great stress releivers David Michener, the director of student leadership and activities at Blinn, came up with the great idea to bring rescue dogs to the college for an event he called ‘Pets for Less Stress’. It was something new and we weren’t sure how well it would be received so I never imagined that when we got there we’d see over 100 students waiting to love on some rescue dogs. This turned out to be one of my favorite events. It was good for the students and good for the rescue dogs too. Just look at all the smiles in these pictures. We look forward to doing this again in the spring when exam time rolls around again and this time we’re going to bring a lot more dogs!
- We were amazed to see how many students showed up to pay attention to rescue animals!
- We can’t wait to bring more dogs when we go again in the spring. Thank you Blinn students for caring about our dogs. See you in the spring!
- Group shot at the end of the event.
- Stumpy likes sticks too.
- Tyson playing with a stick.
- TBAR member and Blinn student Calvin walks Opal.
- Maybelle being socialized. This was exactly what this sweet dog needed.
- So many students and not enough dogs!
- Posing for pictures with our rescue dogs.
- More love for Maybelle (who was named during the event)
- You can’t help but smile when you see Stumpy.
- Maybelle is a shy dog that had just come into our rescue so she needed lots of hugs.
- Tyson couldn’t have been happier to spend time with the students.
- Opal got some energy out and loved all the attention.
- Stumpy loved all the attention

Success Stories: September 17, 2014
We have three recent success stories to share! Mattie was one of the “bottle baby” puppies that were saved by TBAR volunteers this summer. She has a great family now, look at that #Selfie! Nebula was one of our “Guardians of the Galaxy” pups that were a surprise litter from our senior rescue, Sage. And Gracie is a boxer mix that has been a foster pup in wait of her forever home. Congrats on your new homes girls! And THANK YOU to those great families that have opened your home and hearts.
