Pet of the Week: Nova Prime

Nova_True Blue Animal Rescue Puppy

This week our Pet of the Week is another of our “Guardians of the Galaxy” puppies, who were a surprise litter that came from a rescued senior stray named Sage back in July! Nova Prime is a happy little lab mix who loves playing in a kiddie pool outside, and then coming in and sleeping on a big comfy pillow! She is ready and waiting for her forever family to find her, so help us to help her by passing around this post!

Nova is one of five puppies currently in TBAR. All of them are at that perfect playful age that love to learn new tricks, enjoy toys, and cuddle.

How much has anyone dreamed about riding an Arabian horse. Then how many that have not had that dream come through? Well this is your lucky day. Emir is a beautiful Arabian/Saddlebred mix young male. He is up to date with his shots, coggins, and is gelded. He has been started under saddle. He is about 14hh or a bit under. He is 6 years old now with several months of professional training. He has been ground driven, but no rider as of yet. He is level headed and given time to learn to trust his partner and working out for himself. He is beautiful and obvious probably full blood, but no papers. He was a part of a seizure of several of his buddies. He is at the perfect age for someone to adopt him and finish his training. TBAR Adoptable Puppy – Eddie

TBAR Puppy Eddie
This weeks Pet of the Week is a little adoptable puppy named Eddie. How can you resist a face like this? He is 6 weeks old and has had his first shots and worming. He came into True Blue Animal Rescue because his mother passed away when he and his siblings were only 1 week old. Luckily some Tbar members were able to take them in and bottle feed them. Bottle fed puppies are very friendly and lovable. As you can see Eddie was comfortable as he had his foster mothers hand there. He’s starting to play with toys and loves to hop around and explore everything.

Pet of the Week: Starlette

How about a beautiful bay Mustang in your life. Star is one of the most magnificent horses in her breed and being young, around 3 years old, she is ready for whatever your heart desires to do with her. Once you have a Mustang in your life, you have a piece of American heritage in your heart. Why in you heart? Because to see a creature like this doesn’t happen often. She has had a month of natural horsemanship training with Juan Vendrell of TC Ranch Ventures and now she’s ready for further saddle training. Before training, she was in her true element of being a Mustang but now the trainer can touch her and work her with the rope. She even gives to pressure on her neck and leads now.

Pet of the Week: Bailey

Bailey03182014003

Bailey is a one year old Labrador mix and currently weighs about 60 lbs. She and her other buddies were saved from a field in Brenham, TX. She is playful, energetic and an avid retriever. Bailey loves to cuddle up on the couch with her favorite person when it’s time to relax inside, but when it’s playtime, she is ready for a friendly game of fetch in the backyard! Her favorite snack…mini marshmallows! Bailey would do well in a family environment with older children (or children that can understand a larger dog). Her favorite thing in the summer is to play in the sprinkler, if you have a pool or pond – even better. Bailey loves to play hide-n-seek and fetch; she loves to sleep in bed and snuggle with you too. Bailey also enjoys being worked outside with a retriever toy. She will be the perfect, loving companion for the right family. Bailey understands basic commands like “sit” “stay” and “in” when it’s time to go in her crate for resting. She knows potty time is reserved for outdoors and she’s beyond ready for a family to take her home for a sleepover! Won’t you give this sweet girl her chance at a forever home?

Pet of the Week: Sable

SABLE FEATURED.jpg

Sable was rescued by a good Samaritan on April 25, 2014, when he and his brother, Slate, were only about 4 days old. This kind person watched to see if the mother came back for them but she never returned for her babies so they were taken in and a bottle baby foster was found for them so they would get a chance to live.

Sable is a grey/brown tabby kitten (either short haired or medium haired –he has a little fluff going on right now) who will be looking for his forever home once he turns 8 weeks old on June 16, 2014, but applications are being accepted in the meantime. Sable is the typical rambunctious kitten; he likes to crawl over his brother and cry when it’s “feed me” time and falls quickly asleep after eating. He’s a talker right now, begging for love and attention at all times and loves the company of his foster mom. Sable loves his pitbull sister and protector, Lily, but is ready to look for his own forever family!

T-Bar is a no kill rescue organization and we operate totally by foster homes. Please help us find homes for all our animals. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Sable, please email [email protected] or call (936)878-2349 and leave a voicemail. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Pet of the Week: Firecracker

Firecracker

Firecracker is a sweet adult gelding that will come up and look for attention whenever he sees people. He is halter broke and is being worked on the ground – he will soon be ready to start under saddle. He’s a small gelding, around 14hh, so he will make a great kid’s horse after training. He and his three pasture mates were left to starve in a field when law enforcement stepped in and took them away. They were turned over to T-Bar so they could be fed and taught to love people. Since that has been done, Firecracker is now looking for his forever home. Someone who can take the time to teach him everything else he needs to know to become the beautiful riding horse he was meant to be. For more information on Firecracker or any other T-Bar animal, please email help@t-bar.org or call (936) 878-2349. T-BAR is a no-kill rescue. Save a life and adopt instead of buying a pet..

Pet of the Week: Summer

Summer

On March 8, 2014, True Blue Animal Rescue was asked to step in and take custody of a dog in Somerville, Texas. TBAR founders, Dale and Melanie DeAeth, were accompanied by Somerville police to respond to reports that a dog was being severely neglected. Thankfully the dog, later named Summer, was not completely emaciated since a kindly neighbor had been attempting to give the dog food. When TBAR staff met Summer, she was friendly and extremely happy to see people. All she wanted to do was give kisses and be near people, despite the neglect she had been experiencing.Summer was taken to the vet immediately after being seized from the owner. The vet discovered that she was heavy heartworm positive and would need expensive heartworm treatment. Because TBAR is a no-kill rescue and believes if the animal has a good quality of life and treatment is available, Summer was not euthanized due to financial burden and instead Summer blossomed in her foster home during her heartworm treatment. Summer loves playing in the yard and chewing on her toys. She also loves to play tug-o-war and is very gentle. Summer dreams of the day she will have a forever family who loves and spoils her and shows her that not all people are cruel. Can you make this sweet girl’s dream come true?If you think Summer would be a wonderful addition to your family, please contact True Blue Animal Rescue by emailing [email protected] or leaving a voice mail at (936)878-2349 and we will return your call at our earliest convenience. You can also visit our website at www.t-bar.org for more information about TBAR.
