Adopted Dogs Jan 26 (Foster Failures!)
Sometimes our foster homes fall in love with their foster animal and end up adopting.
That is what happened with these three lucky dogs! Each foster home just couldn’t let them go and decided to adopt. We do call that foster failure but it’s and adoption success at the same time.
Thank you to these foster / adopters and hooray for Cletus, Ryder and Cortez.
If you’d like to foster. foster to adopt or adopt, email [email protected] to let us know what you can do to help us rescue animals and end abuse, neglect and overpopulation.

Success Story Update: Bella
Success story…TBAR’s Bella was adopted earlier this year by Ben, who is a student at A&M and far from his home and family in Tennessee. Ben contacted us to send Thanksgiving wishes and let us know that Bella is with him, visiting his family. This picture just says it all…she’s a great dog and good with the entire family.
As her foster Mom, this just warms my heart. – Whitney
Success Stories: Coco and Danny
This weeks success story is a foster failure. Stephanie found the litter of dogs on her property and became their foster home. As they found homes Stephanie decided that Coco and Danny fit in to the family and should just stay. Hooray for Coco and Danny and their new home! If you’d like a new pet, please check out our adoptable pet list and let us know by emailing [email protected] or calling 936-878-2349
Adoption Update: Grayheart Horse
Grayheart was part of the Wood county seizure we did several years ago. She came to TBAR as a skinny little filly. She was dark gray with a white heart on her forehead. Today her color has changed to a beautiful gray and the heart is barely visible. But, isn’t she beautiful? I just love when our adopters keep in touch! Thank you Amanda Bolander!
Success Story: Cocoa
Now that all the puppies are adopted their sweet Mama, now named Cocoa, found a home too! Happy tails for the whole Schnauzer mix family!! Adopt, don’t shop! You won’t regret it.
