Success Story: Tina!

TrueBlueAnimalRescueTina TrueBlueAnimalRescueTina2

This weeks Success Story is Tina. and it’s a Christmas Blessing.

Tina’s New Mom sent this message:

Tina had a long talk with Santa this year.

She said she really wanted to stay in her foster home forever.

Santa couldn’t resist those eyes... and the snuggles every evening by the fire. So Santa said, “Come stay with me”.

Along with her BFF Jenny, who was also adopted from TBAR, her job will be to help Santa relax after a hard day’s work in the toy shop.

The second picture is Tina with her entire family. Her Dad plays Santa every weekend of Dec each year. Her Mom takes the pictures and all proceeds from their efforts go to True Blue Animal Rescue so more animals can be saved the following year. Her family is the Taylor Family and they are a blessing to rescue animals and especially to True Blue Animal Rescue!

Pet of the Week: Macy

TrueBlueAnimalRescueMacy2 TrueBlueAnimalRescueMacyOur Pet of the week is Macy. She is a wonderful Stafford Shire mix by the name of Macy. This girl was rescued from a shelter to save her from meeting an untimely demise. She is a super loving pocket dog, with a really neat look to her, who would like to just sit beside you and chill. She mixes will with other dogs and does well with Children too. In fact, she has a nice submissive demeanor. She is about 2 years old and already spayed and vaccinated. T-BAR is a no-kill rescue. Not only do we like having our animals adopted out, we also are in dire need of foster homes. That way we can help more animals out there, especially with winter coming. Please save a life by adopting a pet, instead of buying a pet and please have all your pets spayed and neutered. It is the right thing to do. If you are interested on where you can help or to look at all that is availble to either adopt or foster, please go towww.t-bar.org and see all the animals that deserve a second chance and fulfilled life full of love, email [email protected] or call (936)878-2349 and one of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible. Adoption Fee: Please [email protected] for adoption fee!

Animal Adoption: Honey

Success Story Wednesday True Blue Animal Rescue Dog Adopted Honey

Success Story Wednesday!

Here is Honey, who has found her forever home! You can see her here showering her new mom with kisses. Any time her new mom left the car she would cry for her – she knew they belonged together!

Honey was a female dachshund mix who was rescued from a shelter by one of our TBAR volunteers. This sweet young puppy quickly earned the heart of her foster Mom’s own mother, who decided to adopt Honey! It is always a great treat when a rescued dog gets to stay in the family.

Hooray for Honey! Thanks Shellie for rescuing her!

Pet of the Week: Sonador

Sonador

Hey guys, now we have a horse as pet of the week for this week. This would make a good horse to refresh his riding and should be able to train her for anything they want. Sonador is an 8 year old mare who was starved and left tied to a tree. She has now gained weight and is ready for adoption. She’s easy to halter, lead, brush and pet. She has been ridden but will need some refresher training. She is very wiling to please and would make a great trail horse for anyone willing to spend some time with her. T-BAR is a no-kill rescue. Not only do we like having our animals adopted out, we also are in dire need of foster homes. That way we can help more animals out there, especially with winter coming. Please save a life by adopting a pet, instead of buying a pet and please have all your pets spayed and neutered. We were able to keep ourPetfinder page and Facebook page updated while we dealt with the website issues, but we are very glad to have our “online home base” back up and running, complete with a new facelift! Let us know what you think, and if you run into any issues please message [email protected]

Pet of the Week: Mandy

Mandy1 (1)

Mandy – seen here enjoying her True Blue Animal Rescue (TBAR) foster home – didn’t always have it so easy. She was abandoned as a puppy and would not have survived if she hadn’t been rescued by a good Samaritan. Mandy is a beautiful Grey Hound/Shepherd mix with a light tan coat accented by darker ears. She is gentle, attentive, and highly intelligent. Mandy is past the puppy stage, but is young and still loves to play. She is very friendly and loves attention and pets. She also loves stuffed toys and will run around the house playing with them. If you are interested in any horse, dog or cat, please go to www.t-bar.org and see all the animals that deserve a second chance and fulfilled life full of love, email [email protected] or call (936)878-2349and one of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible. Riding Lessons with Juan

When Dale and Melanie aren’t busy taking care of rescue animals they enjoy taking lessons with Juan Vendrell of TC Ranch Ventures and riding them. Before the lesson Juan spent some time with rescue horses, Comanche and Rock, in the roundpen getting them ready to ride. Riding lessons with Juan are $55 an hour. Juan is a horse trainer too so he’ll work with you and your horse so you can both learn together. For more information go tohttp://www.tcranchhorsemanship.com/
We also have a clinic planned for Feb 14 with Juan at Tbar ranch so mark your calendar and watch for more info on that coming soon!

Christmas Parade Results

True Blue Animal Rescue Brenham Christmas Parade 2014 Results

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Christmas Stroll and Lighted Parade last night! TBAR received honorable mention for “Best Overall” float! All of our volunteers had a blast decorating and walking in the parade, and little Moose is demonstrating how exhausted everyone was after the night of fun!

TBAR Success Story: Moose

TBAR Adopted Dog Moose

Our Throwback Success Story is Moose, affectionally known as a foster failure.

His foster mother had to bottle feed him when his mom was hit by a car. After many long nights feeding baby Moose, his foster mother and family fell in love with him and he fit right in with the other dogs in his new family.

Congrats to Moose and his new family!

True Blue Animal Rescue Success Stories December 3, 2014

Our most recent success stories include our three newest Maltese Mix dogs as well as Smokey Lonesome, who had been in TBAR waiting for his forever home for a while!

Smokey Lonesome

Smokey Lonesome wandered up to a family’s home in Chappell Hill and decided that he would just live with the kind people who would feed him. But this family was unable to give him a home due to their extensive traveling and didn’t want to leave him homeless. They could tell from his behavior that he had very likely been abused so they contacted TBAR who ended up having a foster home step up for Smokey.

Smokey was approximately born on November 1, 2012 and is an Australian Shepherd. When he was with the family who found him, he was very fearful of new people and things, especially the leash. He was being fostered by a dog trainer who has been able to work with Smokey on his fears to help him find a perfect forever home. He adjusted well and loved his foster parents very much. Smokey Lonesome was adopted by the Ratchfords who also adopted Ciara and the two are getting along wonderfully!

Maltese Mix

True Blue Animal Rescue Maltese Mixes November 2014

Here’s the before picture of the little maltese dogs. They were abandoned and left in a house with no food and water. they lived in filth and their hair was overgrown.

Thanks to the San Felipe PD for responding to an animal cruelty call and taking possession of 5 dogs who needed immediate help! Thanks to TBAR volunteer Casie Cooper for organizing volunteers to help get these dogs cleaned up, and finding them homes very quickly! What a difference a day and a bunch of folks can make in the life of an animal.

If you are interested in adopting a TBAR dog, please view our adoptable dogs page, and download the forms here. You can also email [email protected] or call (936) 878-2349 and leave a voicemail. TBAR is volunteer run and will respond to your message at the volunteer’s earliest convenience.
