Dogs at Buccaneer Blackout again!

TBAR-Buccaneer-Blackout-Jun-2016-18

David G. Michener, Director of Student Leadership & Activities at Blinn College in Brenham invited True Blue Animal Rescue to bring dogs during their Buccaneer Blackout week again! During this week of exams they plan events to help the students relax and destress! What better way to do that than by hugging and petting a rescue dog! We brought several rescue dogs to help the kids and of course, it’s a wonderful outing for the dogs too. They got lots of exercise, love and attention. Several of these dogs are available for adoption. To see which are adoptable view our pets, and if you’d like to adopt please email [email protected] or call 936-878-2349.

Dog Adopted! Kingston (Joey)

TBAR-Success-Adopted-KingstonKingston, now named Joey, is adopted! This sweet dog was at the shelter and on his last days before euthanasia when Kelly offered to foster him and save his life. Lucky for this sweet fellow Kelly and her family fell in love with him and decided to adopt. We call this a foster failure and we LOVE foster failures because that’s one more pet that gets a home of their own for life!! Thank you Kelly for joining our long list of foster failures. We hope this list keeps growing. If you’d like to adopt a dog, cat or horse, please visit our web site www.t-bar.org to see all the animals that are waiting for their forever home. Take advantage of our half off adoption fees for dogs and cats this month too!

Pet of the Week: Gray Gelding

TBAR-Adoptable-Gray-GeldingHere is the Gray Gelding we recently took in getting his hooves trimmed. He came to us about a month ago emaciated and with cracked hooves. He’s now getting plenty of grass and feed and gaining weight every day. Thank you Colton DeAeth of D8th Horseshoeing for fixing his feet for us. As you can see he stands nicely for a farrier and is a pretty sweet fellow. He’s about 10 years old and has a great personality. If you are thinking about fostering or adopting you might want to consider this guy. He’s going up on the web site this week to start searching for his forever home. www.t-bar.org

Event Recap: Adoption Day Recap

TBAR-Adoption-Day-Brenham-PDCTSeveral TBAR members gathered at Puppy Dawgs & Cat Tails in Brenham, TX on Feb. 13th. Valentines day weekend was the perfect time to share our foster dogs with the community and enjoy the beautiful sunny day. Here are a few pictures in front of the store. Lisa, the owner of Puppy Dawgs & Cat Tails is an animal rescue advocate and supporter. She welcomes us to have adoption days in front of her store any time and has even let us put adoptable cats in the store so they could find new homes. Thanks to her two cats were adopted! Check out Puppy Dawgs & Cat Tails next time you are in Brenham. They have everything you need and more!!

Success Story: Peaches

TBAR-Success-Peaches-Dog-AdoptedThis sweet little dog was abandoned at the shelter in Harris Co, Texas. She was emaciated and had no chance of surviving in a shelter. A True Blue Animal Rescue foster home offered to take her in and help her find a home. Her transporters named her Peaches because she was so sweet. Two weeks later this precious girl was feeling much better and at an adoption day when Elissa and Shane saw her and fell in love. Peaches is named Shasta now and couldn’t be more happy in her new home with her new family. Shasta would like to thank all the people who helped her get to safety and to those who donated toward her care. She’s one of the lucky ones and she knows it! Please consider adopting. Go to www.tbar.org and see if we have one you’d like to adopt.

2015 Brenham Christmas Stroll Parade

TBAR-Brenham-Christmas-Stroll-2015Join us at the Christmas Stroll and Lighted Parade in downtown Brenham this coming Saturday, Dec. 5th. There are a lot of activities planned throughout the day! We have our float ready for the parade and will be walking dogs and passing out candy too. Hope to see you all there!

Pet of the week: Sonador

TBAR-Adoptable-Horse-Sonador-POWPet of the Week! This is why we do what we do. The pet of the week this week is an 8 year old mare, by the name of Sonador is an 8 year old mare who was starved and left tied to a tree. She has now gained weight and is ready for adoption. She’s easy to halter, lead, brush and pet. She is current on shots and coggins.

T-Bar has a lot of animals that are waiting for their forever home. If this pet of the week, is not the pet you are interested in, we probably have just about any pet you could want. T-BAR is a no-kill rescue. Not only do we like having our animals adopted out, we also are in dire need of foster homes. That way we can help more animals out there, who are in perilous times alone on the streets. Please save a life by adopting a pet, instead of buying a pet and please have all your pets spayed and neutered. It is the right thing to do. If you are interested on where you can help or to look at all that is available to either adopt or foster, please go to www.t-bar.organd see all the animals that deserve a second chance and fulfilled life full of love, email [email protected] or call (936)878-2349 and one of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible. Adoption Fee: Please email [email protected] for adoption fee! Adoption fee includes neuter or spay, up to date vaccinations, heartworm tested if old enough or started on heartworm prevention as a puppy, deworming and a one year TBAR membership.
